North Queensland Toyota Cowboys coach Paul Green has named a virtually unchanged 18-man squad for Friday’s NRL Queensland derby against the Brisbane Broncos at Suncorp Stadium.

Front-rower Ashton Sims, who was 18th man against the Canberra Raiders on Saturday night, has been added to the interchange bench with a decision on the final 17 to come later in the week.

The Cowboys will hold two on-field training sessions this week before heading to Brisbane on Thursday afternoon.

Both teams are coming off first-round wins, both by six-point margins – 28-22 against Canberra for the Cowboys and 18-12 for the Broncos against Canterbury.
