The unique eye-catching Nines jerseys, worn and signed by our 17 victorious Cowboys, will be auctioned this week to raise important funds for the Buy a Bale campaign.

In conjunction with Frontier Services, Buy a Bale helps out our farmers across Queensland and northern New South Wales who are in the grip of drought.

All auction proceeds will go towards assisting farming families with buying hay, diesel and groceries.

In Queensland alone, over the past week, Buy a Bale has had more than 100 new farmers register for assistance.

“It’s a great cause for everyone to get behind,” Cowboys Nines captain Gavin Cooper, who has family in rural Queensland, said.

“We know there are a lot of farming families doing it tough through some very unfavourable weather conditions and I’m sure they’ll greatly appreciate the support.

“Every little bit helps so hopefully there’ll be plenty of people online bidding.

“We’re hoping that everyone digs a bit deeper for the cause because these are very special jerseys.”

Produced by the Cowboys’ apparel partner ISC, the striking gold, orange and navy 2014 NRL Auckland Nines jerseys are unlike any other that the club has worn since beginning in 1995.

Each Cowboys Nines squad member will sign the jersey they wore when they won the tournament over the Brisbane Broncos in front of a sellout crowd at Eden Park, Auckland.

They are unique memorabilia items, authenticated by the Toyota Cowboys.
