Can’t always make it to the footy? Don’t let your seat go to waste.
Return it to the club and if it sells, we'll reward you with a credit toward your membership in 2026!
We get it – life happens, and you can’t always get to your usual spot at Queensland Country Bank Stadium to cheer on the Cowboys, so we’re excited to roll out the Seat Return Program to more membership types in 2025.
After a successful trial with selected games at the end 2024, we'll be offering the program for the remaining home games of the 2025 season – exclusively for Diamond, Platinum and Gold Star members.
The program gives selected full season members the opportunity to maximize the value of your membership regardless of whether you're at the game or cheekily checking the score from a family function.
Simply return your seat via your MyCowboys Account using our step-by-step instructions below.
We'll then list the seat on Ticketmaster for public sale. If we sell the seat, we'll automatically apply a credit to your account which will be deducted from your 2026 membership when you renew.
To return your seat to the club:
- Log in to your MyCowboys Account
- At the top of the page, select 'My Events' and select the eligible home game you would like to return seats for.
- At the top right corner, click 'Return'.
- Select the seat/s you would like to return to the club and the reason you are returning.
- Review your seat return and click 'Submit' when you're ready to proceed. Note that the 'Return Total' will show as '$0.00'. This does not relate to the credit you will receive if your seat is successfully re-sold.
- Your seat return is complete!

Please note: RD8 Cowboys v Titans, RD10 Cowboys v Panthers and RD11 Cowboys Sea Eagles is currently available for seat return. Seat return for home games 7-12 will be made available in late May.

Which members are eligible to return their seats to the club?
The Seat Return Program is open to to full season Diamond, Platinum and Gold Star members who:
- are the Account Holder for the applicable membership
- paid for membership in full for the 2025 season
- paid full price for membership (i.e. were not provided a free membership)
- are not in financial arrears to the club relating to any corporate, commercial or consumer program
- comply with all requirements set out in our terms and conditions of full season membership.
Diamond, Platinum and Gold Star members on a payment plan cannot return their seats to the club for resale.
Currently, members who hold any other full season membership (Club 95), non-full season membership (Flexi 4, Flexi Ticket Bundle, Home Star), Away Game membership (Distant Star, Bris Vegas, Southern Star) or corporate membership cannot return their seats for resale.
What happens if I return a seat but the club is unable to sell it?
The seat will remain unused for that home game and you will not receive credit toward your 2026 membership.
It is important to note that there is no guarantee that a seat returned for resale will be sold.
If my seat doesn't sell, or if I change my mind, can I get the seat back for the game?
No. Once you have returned your seat it is no longer reserved for use as part of your membership. In this instance, the only way to reclaim that seat is to purchase a casual ticket via Ticketmaster, if it is still available.
Please note, once you have returned a seat for resale, your membership card will not scan at the turnstyle and permit entry for that seat.
Can I return just one seat or do I have to return all of the seats associated with my Account, for a home game I can't attend?
No, you don't have to return all of the seats associated with your Account. You can simple return the seat you won't be using.
What is the latest I can return my seat, prior to an eligible home game?
To give the club the best chance of reselling the seat, you must return your unused seats no later than 3.00pm AEST on the Thursday prior to the eligible home game.
I'm not sure what membership I will renew/purchase in 2026, can I use my credit for my 2025 membership (i.e. receive a partial refund)?
No. Credit will be saved in your account and automatically deducted from your 2026 renewal.
What if I change my seats or membership product in 2026? Will that affect my credit?
Your credit is applied to your Account and not your individual seats. Provided you renew or upgrade into a ticketed membership for the 2026 season, your credit will be automatically deducted from the cost.
Can I transfer credit to another Account or pool credits between multiple Account holders?
No. Credit can only be used on the Account which held the original seat.
Do I have to return my seat if I don't intend to use it for a home game?
No. The Member Seat Return Program offers a simple and convenient way to return the seats to the club so we can re-sell it to another Cowboys fan and reward you for your support with credit toward membership.
If you don't wish to use the Member Seat Return program and aren't able to attend a home game you can leave the seat empty, offer the ticket to a friend or sell it privately.
