Adopt-a-School
Adopt-a-School is the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys' flagship community initiative, reinvesting in the Townsville school community with the support of presenting partner Bravus Mining & Resources.
This program is designed to make a positive impact on the schools and communities in Townsville and the surrounding region by providing participating schools the opportunity to utilise their 'adopted' Cowboys player to amplify and reinforce positive messages to benefit their school community.
Adopt-a-School is centred around the theme “The Cowboys Way” emphasising positive behaviours that align with the values and ethos of the Cowboys.
The Cowboys make over 650 visits to North Queensland schools each year and have been involved in a variety of school community activities, including curriculum activities, sporting clinics, presentation nights and school assemblies.
The program helps schools instill a culture of positivity, teamwork and gratitude, which can have a lasting impact on the behaviour and wellbeing of students.
