Sutton and Lloyd-Phillips named Rookies of the Year

Liam Sutton and Charlize Lloyd-Phillips have tonight been named the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys' NRL and NRLW Rookies of the Year at the club's Presentation Night.

Sutton registered four games in the top grade after making his NRL debut in the Magic Round win over the Roosters at Suncorp Stadium.

The 23-year-old scored two tries in back-to-back games against the Rabbitohs and Raiders in Rounds 12 and 13.

Sutton also registered two try assists and made 114 tackles at 88 per cent efficiency.

Lloyd-Phillips appeared in seven games after making her NRLW debut in Round 4.

The talented winger became the first Cowboy to score a hat-trick at NRLW level against the Dragons in Round 8.
