Six members of the Cowboys’ NRL squad have been named in the club’s opening game of the NRLQ season against The Dolphins on Thursday night.
It will be the second season of the NRLQ competition, which gives the four Queensland clubs the opportunity to showcase their best under 21s talent.
Cowboys NRLQ Head Coach Mitchell Dunn has a full arsenal of players at his disposal this weekend with the QLD Cup and Mal Meninga Cups on Easter break.
Dunn’s front-row in props Matt Watts and Kaiden Lahrs as well hooker Xavier Kerrisk are all in North Queensland’s NRL squad along with second-rower Mason Kira.
Fullback Mason Barber and halfback Zac Herdegen are also members of the Cowboys NRL squad.
The remainder of the 18-man squad is made up of Cowboys Young Guns squad members, including current Mal Meninga Cup standouts Taj Lateo, Taylan To’a, Cayde Miller and Archie Mesritz.
Thursday’s game kicks off at 4.15pm and will be available to stream on www.qplus.tv
