The North Queensland Toyota Cowboys are proud to announce an expanded partnership with Maurice Blackburn Lawyers through the 2026 and 2027 NRL and NRLW seasons, marking the next phase of a growing partnership.
As part of the expanded partnership, the Maurice Blackburn Lawyers logo will feature on the back left of the playing shorts for both the NRL and NRLW squads, as well as on the back of trainers' tees across both programs.
The national law firm will continue in its role as the Club’s Coaches Sponsor, underlining its ongoing commitment to the Cowboys’ football program both on and off the field.
The broadened partnership reflects the shared values between the North Queensland Cowboys and Maurice Blackburn Lawyers, with both organisations deeply committed to both community and leadership.
In a further boost to the North Queensland community, the national law firm will also continue its position as the presenting partner of the award-winning Training & Employment program Dream, Believe, Achieve which delivers accredited courses to unemployed and disadvantaged North Queenslanders.
North Queensland Cowboys General Manager of Football Micheal Luck welcomed the expanded partnership and acknowledged the strength of the relationship.
“Maurice Blackburn Lawyers have been a trusted partner of our Club for some time, and we’re delighted to see that relationship grow through this upgraded agreement,” Luck said.
“Their continued support of our coaches and now an increased presence across our NRL and NRLW programs speaks volumes about their belief in what we’re building at the Cowboys. We value partners who are aligned with our values and our community, and Maurice Blackburn Lawyers are a great example of that.”
The enhanced sponsorship further strengthens Maurice Blackburn Lawyers’ connection to the Cowboys, its members and the North Queensland community. Maurice Blackburn Lawyers CEO Jacob Verghese said it was an exciting time to be growing the partnership.
“Expanding our partnership with the North Queensland Cowboys marks the next chapter in a relationship grounded in shared values and a real commitment to community.
We’re excited to continue supporting the Cowboy’s NRL and NRLW programs through 2026, working alongside a team that leads with purpose, integrity and impact."
The North Queensland Cowboys look forward to continuing to work closely with Maurice Blackburn Lawyers over the next two seasons as the Club strives for success on the field and continued positive impact off it.
