Dearden and Cotter named for Ashes Tour

North Queensland Toyota Cowboys co-captains Tom Dearden and Reuben Cotter have been selected as part of a 24-man Kangaroos squad to tour England later this month.

Dearden had arguably the best year of his career in 2025, winning the Paul Bowman Medal for a second time as well as the Wally Lewis Medal for player of the Origin series.

Cotter, who ran for 1,659 metres and tackled at 92.28% this season, came off the bench in all three of the Kangaroos’ matches in their successful Pacific Championships campaign last year.

The Kangaroos will kick off their three-Test series against England on Saturday, October 25 at Wembley Stadium, before matches in Liverpool and Leeds in November.
