Chester claims second Cowboys Player of the Year awards

Bree Chester has tonight claimed her second successive North Queensland Toyota Cowboys NRLW Player of the Year.

The 23-year-old broke out as one of the best emerging middle forwards in the NRLW. This year she joined the competition’s best.

Chester played at least 70 minutes in seven of the Cowboys' 11 games and registered at least 50 in every game, playing in the middle of the field.

Chester’s 402 total tackles were the third-most in the NRLW, trailing only the Titans lock Georgia Hale.

The Cowboys lock was brilliant on both sides of the ball, making her tackles at an 93.27% efficiency, while also averaging 132 running metres.

Chester made at least 40 tackles in six different games, including three consecutive outings between Rounds 5-7.
