Outside back Braidon Burns has signed a one-year extension with the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys for the 2026 NRL season.
Burns joined the Cowboys mid-way through 2024 and has appeared in 12 games for North Queensland, scoring seven tries.
Despite enduring an injury-interrupted campaign in 2025, Burns has become a regular in Todd Payten’s best 17, splitting time between wing and centre, averaging 156 running metres a game.
Prior to arriving in North Queensland, Burns appeared in 40 games for South Sydney and 22 for the Bulldogs.
“Braidon has been nothing but impressive since joining our club mid-way through last season,” Cowboys General Manager of Football Micheal Luck said.
“He is a wonderful example for our young players, especially around professionalism and communication.
“On the field, he has a strong carry out of his own end and is a terrific defender whether at wing or centre.
“We are thrilled to secure Braidon’s services for at least another season.”
