Cowboys HQ is quickly becoming a sports performance haven for athletes across the North, with Apricus Health the latest allied health service to call the Hutchinson Builders Centre home.
North Queensland Toyota Cowboys CEO Jeff Reibel said Apricus Health’s new hand therapy clinic provided the fast-growing hub with pain management and hand therapy services essential to athletes of all codes.
“We’re working hard to create a centralised sports training, science and health ecosystem in the North where athletes of all levels can receive the highest quality support to prepare, perform and recover,” Mr Reibel said.
“Along with adding an invaluable health service to our growing list, Apricus Health’s clinic will also provide its strong following of patients in the Townsville, Ayr, Ingham and Charters Towers communities with a convenient new CBD location.”
Apricus Health Founder Cassandra Chiesa said the clinic provided sport and exercise clients with hand therapy, pain management and neurological rehabilitation services in collaboration with patients’ orthopaedic surgeons, general practitioners and physiotherapists, if needed.
“Our accredited hand therapists, physiotherapists and occupational therapists have worked closely with the Cowboys for over a decade, so this is a significant step in broadening our collaboration for the benefit of the North Queensland community,” Ms Chiesa said.
“We’re proud to support the Cowboys efforts to build an ecosystem of surgeons, sports physicians and allied health professionals that will be able to provide holistic support to athletes facing a complex rehabilitation pathway,” Ms Chiesa said.
Apricus Health joins Townsville Orthopaedics & Sports Surgery, North Queensland Physiotherapy Centre, Sports Clinic NQ and James Cook University Performance Science Hub within the purpose-built facility.
