Manzelmann named inaugural NRLW Cowboy of the Year

The first NRLW signing in North Queensland Toyota Cowboys history and the club’s first NRLW try scorer – Emma Manzelmann tonight also became the inaugural NRLW Cowboy of the Year.

A homegrown product from Mackay, Manzelmann returned to North Queensland as an NRLW premiership winner with the Newcastle Knights and an incumbent Queensland Maroon.

The 21-year-old more than lived up to her billing as one of the Cowboys’ marquee recruits.

Manzelmann appeared in all nine games in the Cowboys debut season, scoring three tries, including the historic first NRLW try in club history in Round 1 against the Titans.
