Cowboys announce 2023 Veronica White Medal nominee

The North Queensland Toyota Cowboys are pleased to announce NRLW halfback and dual Indigenous All-Stars representative Tahlulah Tillett as their inaugural nominee for the 2023 Veronica White Medal, recognising her extensive and powerful community work.

Tahlulah has been nominated for the prestigious award for her incredible work mentoring Indigenous students at NRL Cowboys House and championing education and rugby league participation for primary and secondary students across North Queensland.

Cowboys members and fans can now vote for Tahlulah for the Veronica White Medal, with the winner of the fan vote earning $2,500 to give back to their junior rugby league club and supporting cause or charity, as well as becoming an automatic finalist for the Veronica White Medal – Woman of the Year.

Players are nominated for the Veronica White Medal by each of the 10 NRLW clubs in recognition of the contribution of female rugby league players to their local communities and beyond, whilst playing rugby league at an elite level throughout the year.

The overall winner is set to be announced at the 2023 NRL Dally M Awards.

This year will see the fifth Veronica White Medal awarded, with a host of worthy recipients receiving the award named after former Australian Jillaroo Veronica White.
