North Queensland Toyota Cowboys winger Kyle Feldt joined Carley Whittington’s ‘This is Townsville’ program on Hit103.1 to discuss growing up in Townsville, making his way through the Cowboys system, and getting married earlier this year.
“I know Dad sacrificed a fair bit once I got a little bit older, giving up time from work for interstate travel, so I was pretty grateful for that,” Feldt said.
“2008 was a pretty big year for me with football. I’ve never really made any rep teams until that year. I was always just missing out and then I got picked and everything started to fall into place.
“I remember when I was a kid I used to wait at the fence for the team to come around and high-five them and this time I was on the other side of the fence so it was pretty cool.
