Three Gold Stars to play inaugural QRL U19s comp match

North Queensland Toyota Gold Stars trio India McPhee, Jordi Mahendrarajah and Emma Wood have been named to play in today’s inaugural QRL Harvey Norman Under 19s competition fixture between the Mackay Cutters and Townsville Blackhawks at BB Print Stadium, Mackay.

Mahendrarajah, an 18-year-old Cairns junior, will captain the Blackhawks and start at prop, alongside inaugural Gold Stars squad member Emma Wood, who has been named at lock.

McPhee, an 18-year-old Mackay product, will start in the second row for the Cutters.

In 2016, all three were named in the inaugural Female Queensland Academy of Sport's under 15s squad.

Today’s match will be live-streamed on the Mackay Cutters Facebook page from 2.30pm, with the Queensland Cup trial kicking off at 6pm.
