Let's play it safe for road safety

Did you know that in Australia, less than one third of the population lives in regional and remote areas, but nearly two thirds of all fatal road crashes occur on rural and remote roads?*

North Queensland, we're with you in protecting the lives of those who matter to us most by taking up the challenge to make our roads safer for everyone.

Pledge to drive so others survive

The North Queensland Toyota Cowboys have teamed up with the Australian Government and the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads to create the 'Play it safe – off the field and on the road' initiative to help make road safety your priority this holiday season.

Do the Road Safety 5

If you're planning a road trip these holidays, here are five simple things you can do to keep you and your family safe.

  1. Slow down, stay safe & drive to the conditions.
  2. Take a break.
  3. Make sure you always buckle up, and check your passengers.
  4. Don't drink and drive – save the drinks for when you get there.
  5. Keep your eyes on the road and leave your phone alone.
