Dear Cowboys members, fans and partners
What an extraordinary few days it has been for our club and indeed all clubs, partners and personnel associated with the 2020 NRL season.
It was such a privilege to welcome so many of you to our inaugural game at our new home ground, the magnificent Queensland Country Bank Stadium, on Friday night.
Although we didn’t get the on-field result our team trained so hard for, it was still undoubtedly a night to remember for our club and for our region.
While we were very excited to have the opportunity to play our game as scheduled, the Cowboys, as with all NRL clubs, are operating under the government’s directive that attendance by the general public is suspended for matches from Round 2, until further notice.
We are now working through the implications and consequences of this directive in conjunction with the NRL.
With the circumstances around our upcoming matches changing daily, we are unable to answer individual questions with any certainty right now.
However, I can assure you that as soon as we have a resolution on a matter that impacts you directly, our team will be in direct contact with you.
Please note that we will also be posting general updates about our club and the 2020 season on our website and social channels regularly.
There is so much about this pandemic that is unknown but one thing we are very sure of is that the Cowboys family will get through it together.
When you ride with us, you’re one of us and it is unquestionably the strength forged by your unwavering support that will continue to sustain our team and our club.
Jeff Reibel, Chief Executive Officer
