Tickets to experience North Queensland Toyota Cowboys’ home games at Queensland Country Bank Stadium were in high demand today with the first release of public seats to Cowboys v Broncos selling out within half-an-hour.

The first six home games went on sale via ticketing platform Ticketmaster at 10am today, with 4,000 Cowboys v Broncos tickets released to the general public.

Almost 18,000 tickets had been sold prior to today’s ticket release via the club’s very popular partner, consumer and corporate membership program.

The club is looking to do a final release of public seats after members with ticketed entitlements to Cowboys v Broncos have had their allocations finalised.

Cowboys CEO Jeff Reibel said that it is an exciting time for the club.

“We’re thankful for the support shown for our club and we’re incredibly excited for the season ahead.”

“As a community owned club our members are very important to us and we’ve been prioritising their place within our new home,” Mr Reibel said.

Memberships, including full season and multi-game (six, three and two) packages, are currently available and include a ticket to Cowboys v Broncos.

“Membership is a great way to experience the game and all the benefits our club has to offer,” he said.

It’s also a great time to remind people that they gain priority access by becoming a member with the club, and that there are other home games to look forward to.”

Brisbane’s season-opening visit is just one of the exciting clashes set down for the Cowboys’ maiden season at their new state-of-the-art home ground.

Seven of the 12 games to be hosted at North Queensland Stadium are on Saturdays and in school holidays.

“With more than half of our home games in the Saturday timeslot it makes it easier for members and supporters to see our games live,” he said.

“There are plenty of games our supporters can look forward to, including the blockbuster clashes and themed rounds celebrating Anzac Day and Indigenous culture.”

A date for the final release of limited tickets to the general public will be announced by the club on Monday 24 February, with the expectation that Cowboys v Broncos will sell out prior to the season’s start.
