Key stats: Nines Round 1 v Broncos

We take a closer look at some of the key stats in the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys 17-11 win over the Brisbane Broncos on day one of the Perth Nines. 


The number of running metres by Jason Taumalolo - a team-high, to go along with six runs and two tackle-breaks. 


The number of sets completed by the Cowboys - the second most of any team on day one. 


The number of bonus-point tries, line breaks and try assists by Scott Drinkwater. After using his footwork to score a brilliant 5 point try in the 11th minute, the No. 1 set up Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow just three minutes later for the match-winner. 


The number of kicking metres by the Cowboys - the second most of any team on day one - thanks to the big boot of Jake Clifford (93 metres) and Scott Drinkwater (50 metres).

The time of the Cowboys' next pool match on Saturday against the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles. A win would secure a playoff berth for a fifth straight tournament.
