2019 season review: Murray Taulagi

Despite an injury-interrupted start to his 2019 campaign, North Queensland Toyota Cowboys winger Murray Taulagi finished the season as a regular in the top grade.

Taulagi, who suffered a knee injury in the Cowboys' first pre-season trial against the Titans, made his return through the Queensland Cup in Round 5 for the Townsville Blackhawks.

The 20-year-old would go on to make his NRL debut in Round 18 against South Sydney, when he made a linebreak and ran for 127 metres.

He reserved his best game of the season for the club’s Round 25 clash with the Melbourne Storm, when he scored a try, made three tackle breaks and ran for 131 metres.

Taulagi agreed to a two-year contract extension in April, which will see him remain a Cowboy until the end of 2021 season.
