Walters names Cowboys duo for Game Two

North Queensland Toyota Cowboys duo Michael Morgan and Josh McGuire have been selected in the Queensland Maroons side for next Sunday’s State of Origin Game Two at Optus Stadium.

After a successful series opener at Suncorp Stadium less than a fortnight ago, Maroons head coach Kevin Walters has again named Cowboys skipper Morgan in the centres for the trip to Perth.

It will mark Morgan’s 11th appearance for Queensland and his third in the centres.

Meanwhile, North Queensland enforcer McGuire has retained the Maroons No.13 jersey, a position he has made his own since Game One, 2017.

The 29-year-old ran for 107 metres and made 44 tackles in 58 minutes in Queensland’s 18-14 series-opening win in Brisbane.
