McGuire in new caring role

North Queensland Toyota Cowboy Josh McGuire is the new community ambassador for Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) North Australia.

Josh, who will start his first season with the playing squad this year, is proud to be affiliated with a charity that works to improve the well-being of seriously ill children and their families.

As the father to two young children Josh said he’s looking forward to being involved with Ronald McDonald House.

“I’ll be visiting the local in-hospital Ronald McDonald Family Room and will help with raising much needed funds and awareness for the charity.”

“My wife and children are my key inspiration for my charity work,” Josh said, “and they motivate me to commit as much time as I can to supporting others.

“My family have a solid history of giving back to the community, so it's something I've grown up around and continues to influence me.”

Cowboys CEO Jeff Reibel said that Josh would bring passion and commitment to his new Ambassador role.

“We’re very proud to have Josh be part of a local children’s charity, one that is no doubt close to his own heart, having young children himself,” he said.

RMHC North Australia board chair Paul Rissman said that the charity is proud of the long-standing relationship with the Cowboys.

“Our families come from across the northern Australia region, and many are Cowboys fans themselves.

“It’s wonderful to be able to have a committed family man and community minded Ambassador like Josh who can make their day just a bit brighter.”
