Season review: Lachlan Coote

Persistent hamstring injuries were a source of major frustration for Lachlan Coote during what would be his final season at the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys.

Coote missed the first three games of the season after suffering a hamstring injury in the pre-season.

After two impressive performances for Mackay in the Queensland Cup, Coote returned to Paul Green's line-up in Round 6.

Green opted to shift Michael Morgan to fullback in Round 11, which forced Coote out of the side and he would only make four more appearances in the top grade for the remainder of the season.

Another hamstring injury late in the season ruled out any possibility of finishing his time at the Cowboys in first grade.

The 2015 premiership-winner played 83 matches across four seasons for the club.

2018 stats:

Games: 9
Tries: 2
Try assists: 2
Line-break assists: 4
Average runs: 12
Average run metres: 94
