Coach's Award

North Queensland Toyota Cowboys winger Kyle Feldt has capped off arguably the best individual season of his career by claiming the Coach's Award at the club's annual Presentation Ball at the Townsville Entertainment & Convention Centre tonight.

Feldt led the Cowboys with 14 tries in 2018, one ahead of record-breaking teammate Gavin Cooper.

The 26-year-old was in scintillating form to start the season, scoring six tries in his first seven games, and finished the season in style with a hat-trick in Round 24 against the Eels during Johnathan Thurston's last home game at 1300SMILES Stadium.

Aside from his try-scoring feats, Feldt provided a number of other memorable highlights throughout the season, including an incredible 56-metre penalty goal against arch rivals Brisbane in Round 22.

The Townsville product transformed into one of the NRL's top metre-eaters, finishing with 3100 running metres for the season, which ranked fourth among all wingers in the competition.

Feldt was also invited into Queensland camp leading into State of Origin II as a reward for his strong form.
