It took until the final game of Round 24 in the Queensland Cup to decide which teams would make this year's top six and go on to play in the finals.

Earlier this afternoon, the Ipswich Jets confirmed their place in the top six with a 22-14 victory over the Norths Devils today.

The victory saw the Jets clinch sixth spot ahead of the PNG Hunters following their loss to the Central Queensland Capras.

In a dramatic final round, the Redcliffe Dolphins secured the minor premiership after beating the Sunshine Coast Falcons, while Burleigh Bears and Townsville Districts nailed down second and third respectively.

Northern Pride climbed into fourth on the back of a 10-10 draw with Tweed Heads, relegating Easts to fifth spot after the Tigers fell to the rampant Bears.
