With four appearances at 1300SMILES Stadium remaining for our legendary co-captain Johnathan Thurston, we take a look at how JT has fared against the St George Illawarra Dragons during his Cowboys career.
Thurston has taken on the Dragons just 13 times in Cowboys colours across his illustrious 14-year career at the club, with the Roosters (12) the only club he has met on fewer occasions.
His first appearance against the joint venture came in Round 22 of the 2005 season, a 36-16 Cowboys loss in Townsville.
Of those 13 clashes in JT's tenure at the club, the Cowboys have won eight, including their previous four stretching back to the 2012 season.
The 35-year-old has scored seven tries in his showdowns with the Dragons, including a memorable hat-trick in a game he was responsible for 20 points in a thrilling 24-20 Cowboys victory in Round 9 of the 2009 season.
Thurston's 41 goals against the Dragons are his least against any club in the NRL.
The retiring Cowboys superstar will play his final game against the Dragons on Saturday night at 7.30pm at 1300SMILES Stadium.
