Experience rules for Round 9 lineup

North Queensland Toyota Cowboys head coach Paul Green has made one change to his 21-man squad from Round 8 for Friday night's showdown with the Penrith Panthers in Bathurst.

Centre Javid Bowen replaces fellow outside back Enari Tuala on the extended bench in the only alteration to the squad Green named before the clash with Canberra.

Fan favourite Shaun Fensom has again been named on the bench after making a successful return to the NRL last weekend.

Fensom, who hadn't featured in the top grade since breaking his leg in last season's grand final, ran for 62 metres and chipped in 26 tackles in 32 minutes during his return outing.

The 29-year-old joins utility Te Maire Martin and forwards Corey Jensen and Ethan Lowe on the interchange bench.

Friday's game kicks off at 7.50pm.
