Pere re-signs as a Cowboy

The North Queensland Toyota Cowboys are excited to announce talented forward Emry Pere has agreed to a two-year contract extension with the club.

Pere, 19, enjoyed a stellar two-year NYC career with the Cowboys before graduating to the Queensland Cup in 2018.

A 106kg forward who can play either prop or second-row, Pere has enjoyed a strong start to the season with the Northern Pride, averaging 72 running metres, 19 tackles and two tackle-breaks through his first seven games.

"Emry is a very good young player who is still eligible for under 20s and is holding his own playing in the front-row in the Queensland Cup," Cowboys General Manager – Football Peter Parr said.

"He is a player we think has a big future and we are delighted to have him re-commit to the Cowboys."
