Stockland Townsville at the heart of community

The North Queensland Toyota Cowboys and Stockland Townsville have been partners in serving our community since the club’s inaugural season in 1995, and now a new chapter in their relationship is set to be written.

The partnership – now more than two decades old – will continue in season 2018, with Stockland renewing their standing as a major sponsor of the Cowboys and their cornerstone community program, Adopt-a-School.

As long-term partner of the program, Stockland continues their important contribution to the Townsville and district school community.

The Adopt-a-School program was established as an ongoing social commitment to North Queensland school communities and gives participating schools the opportunity to utilise their ‘adopted’ Cowboy as a role model for their students.

The first Adopt-a-School visits for 2018 kick off in late April, and thanks to Stockland, will continue to see players involved in a variety of school community activities, including curriculum activities, sporting clinics, presentation nights and school assemblies.

“The partnership between the Cowboys and Stockland has been based on giving back to the community and with Stockland’s support, we can continue to have players engaging with our primary school students and reinforcing the school’s important messages,” Cowboys Chief Commercial Officer Jeff Reibel said.

“Adopt-a-School continues to go from strength-to-strength, and reflects Stockland’s community spirit and the value they place on the magnificent work the program and its participants are involved in.”

Stockland Townsville Centre Manager Malcolm Miller said: “We are thrilled to once again renew our decade-long partnership with the Cowboys to continue supporting the Adopt-a-School-program.

Community is at the heart of our purpose at Stockland and we are proud to be able to support North Queensland school students learning from their local sporting heroes.

Stockland are also match-day sponsor for the Cowboys’ Round 7 showdown with the Titans at 1300SMILES Stadium on Saturday night, with a huge lineup of entertainment, activities and rugby league action planned for members and fans from 5pm.
