The North Queensland Toyota Cowboys and this week’s LGIAsuper Community Hub organisation CPL – Choice, Passion, Life – share many common community values, including an underlying drive to ‘never stop striving for better’.

CPL have been supporting people with disabilities in the Townsville community for more than 70 years through a number of different services, and the Cowboys and LGIAsuper are pleased to host CPL to help them raise awareness for their cause.

CPL is a profit-for-purpose organisation that provides vital support to more than 5,000 children and adults with disabilities in Queensland and Northern NSW.

With a full range of services in Townsville for children through to adults, CPL provides a range of disability support services, and focuses on helping people create the lives they really want.

CPL will be sharing information about how they support people in the local Townsville community at Saturday’s game, and Chief Executive Officer Rhys Kennedy says the main message will be helping people understand CPL’s role and the range of people they support.

“We love getting out in our local community and sharing what we do,” Mr Kennedy said.

A lot of people are unaware of the many ways CPL can support people living with disability so this is a fantastic opportunity for us to get the message out there and connect with our community.

“Plus, so many of our clients, volunteers and employees are passionate Cowboys supporters, so they’re all excited to be a part of the game day celebrations.”

Cowboys General Manager – Community Fiona Pelling welcomed CPL to their first presentation in  LGIAsuper Community Hub.

“We’re really pleased to be able to provide the opportunity for CPL to be in the Hub to share with the wider community the opportunities that they provide for people with a disability.

“We know CPL well as they contribute their lawn maintenance services at NRL Cowboys House, providing training and work opportunities for people with a disability while helping us support Indigenous students from remote North Queensland to gain a secondary education,” Ms Pelling said.

Teaming up with the Cowboys gives LGIAsuper the opportunity to drive positive change through education and social initiatives, so be sure to visit the LGIAsuper Community Hub and learn more about the important work this organisation is doing in your community.
