Stay tuned, thanks to Southern Cross Austereo!

Regional North Queensland Toyota Cowboys supporters will continue to enjoy the benefits of a long-term major partnership between the club and its official radio broadcast and free-to-air television partner, Southern Cross Austereo (SCA), re-signing on a multi-year deal.

Broadcasting with the club since its 1995 inception, SCA remain strong advocates for the sport of rugby league and support a number of joint initiatives to benefit the local community, including the Cowboys Field of Dreams program.

SCA Townsville general manager Rob Aumend said the partnership has grown from strength to strength, and continues to deliver engaging opportunities for fans to experience the exciting brand of football the Cowboys are renowned for.

“Radio and television play a very important role in providing access to fans who live in regional areas right throughout North Queensland, giving them equal access to the North’s beloved Cowboys,” Mr Aumend said.

“We’re proud to continue to partner with the Cowboys, and be able to provide such a valued service to our passionate Cowboys community right across the state.”

The Cowboys-SCA partnership delivers a range of radio and television promotions on popular networks such as the Hit! network, 4TOFM/Triple M network and Channel 9; including segments featuring Cowboys players on a weekly basis, and the ever-popular Cowboys Call Team live from 1300SMILES Stadium on game nights and for all away games.

Cowboys CEO Greg Tonner said the club was delighted to have a foundation partner re-commit to the Cowboys brand, and collaborate on valuable engagement opportunities.

“They have been with the club since the beginning and have always offered great support to everything the Cowboys stand for and what we try to achieve on and off the field,” Mr Tonner said.

“SCA also recently signed a five-year deal with the National Rugby League ensuring Queensland fans will have access to the broadcast of matches involving their favourite team, which is a huge win for country supporters.”
