We all know how much heart the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys have on the field, but Thursday night’s home game against the Panthers will also be about heart off the field, with the LGIAsuper Community Hub welcoming HeartKids to 1300SMILES Stadium!

Located in the Western forecourt, the LGIAsuper Community Hub plays host to not-for-profit organisations throughout the season to help them raise awareness for their cause.

With the second home game of the season focusing on family ahead of the Easter long weekend, HeartKids will be on hand to create awareness and provide information for members and fans on childhood heart disease.

HeartKids is the only national profit-for-purpose charity dedicated to supporting children, teens and adults affected by congenital/childhood heart disease across Australia, funding life-saving research to provide information and advocacy for families in need.

Queensland state manager for HeartKids Holly Williams said the opportunity to participate in the LGIAsuper Community Hub was one they would definitely make the most of.

“We’re looking forward to spreading awareness of HeartKids to the community whilst providing a fun opportunity for our families to enjoy the excitement and atmosphere of the game,” Ms Williams said.

“HeartKids are very big supporters of the Cowboys and many of our members are avid fans; some of them will be present on the night combining their two loves of supporting HeartKids and the Cowboys.”

With eight babies born with a heart condition in Australia every day, HeartKids is committed to supporting people with congenital/childhood heart disease as they face unique challenges for their entire lives.

About HeartKids:

  • Advocates for the needs of people with congenital/childhood heart disease, their families and carers
