Calling all North Queensland performance groups!

The North Queensland Toyota Cowboys are gearing up for a huge 2018 season and are inviting local and regional dance, cheer and acro groups to register their interest in performing at Cowboys home games at 1300SMILES Stadium.

Participating groups of up to 30 performers will rotate across 12 home games, performing on the main field as part of the pre-game show ahead of the NRL match.

Expressions of interest are welcomed on behalf of performance groups or schools, and interested individuals should contact their local group to be part of this opportunity.

Cowboys chief marketing officer Jacqui James-Eggins says the new performance format builds on the club’s tradition of engaging local talent in the game-day program.

“Our home-game entertainment lineup has always been a great opportunity for local acts to perform in front of a huge crowd at their home ground,” Ms James-Eggins said.

“We’re proud to work with dancers and performers to deliver a fantastic game-day experience, and we’re always striving to improve our collaboration with these enthusiastic and talented individuals and groups.

“The segment that was previously dedicated to junior cheerleaders has been changed to an open invitation for dance, cheerleading or acrobatic groups, which will give more acts the opportunity to be part of our game day and showcase the range of talent we have in North Queensland.”
