Veteran Cowboys winger Antonio Winterstein says that while the National Rugby League has been trying to work out how to stop Raiders flyer Jordan Rapana, he'll be putting his heart and soul into doing just that on Saturday.

Rapana has scored 14 tries in 15 appearances for the Green Machine this season and has formed a fearsome right-edge combination with giant centre Joey Leilua.

“He’s a big threat for them,” Winterstein said of Rapana.

“We need to be aggressive, resilient and definitely switched on mentally. I’m really looking forward to the challenge.”

Winterstein has been one of the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys’ most consistent players this year, overcoming early-season injuries to string together a run of top-shelf performances featuring his trademark tough carries and solid defence.

Saturday's match against Canberra kicks off at 7.30pm.
