The Cowboys Supporters Team is a volunteer organisation that fundraises throughout the year to support the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys Elite Pathways program.

North Queensland Toyota Cowboys members and fans are encouraged to be part of the dream and support the team by heading along to Supporters Thursday at the Cowboys Leagues Club tonight from 6.30pm.

Each week, the volunteer-based Supporters Team sell raffle tickets to raise funds for the Cowboys Elite Pathways program, contributing over $60,000 last year.

Funds from the annual donation have so far supported players including home-grown talent and current NYC coach Aaron Payne, Queensland and Kangaroos representative Michael Morgan and reigning Dally M medallist and career Cowboy Jason Taumalolo.

For Cowboys Supporters Team secretary Janet Aspinall, Supporters Thursdays are all about contributing to the Elite Pathways program and giving North Queensland talent the chance to stay and play in the North.

“The aim of the Cowboys Supporters Team is to raise as much money as we can throughout the year to give to the football club and the weekly Supporters Thursdays at the Cowboys Leagues Club are a big part of our fundraising program,” Ms Aspinall said.

“Fans can help by continuing their much-needed support each week by buying tickets, or if they're wanting to join the Supporters Team and help sell and fundraise, we would love that too!”
