North Queensland Toyota Cowboys head coach Paul Green has made a late change to his team to take on the Newcastle Knights in Round 8 National Rugby League action tonight.

Utility Ray Thompson will play his first footy of the 2017 season with Green bringing him into the side from the 21-man squad named on Tuesday.
Thompson, a veteran of 100-plus NRL games, has spent the first two months of the season battling a knee injury but has been cleared fit to play tonight.
Ben Hampton will be the 18th man.
The game kicks off at 5.30pm.
