The term ‘pull up your socks’ will take on a new meaning this Saturday, as the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys NYC squad don special edition Men of League Foundation playing socks against the Wests Tigers.

With the home game supporting Men of League's important work in the rugby league community, local MOL members will also be on hand to talk to fans in LGIAsuperCommunity Hub.

Host to local charitable organisations each home game, LGIAsuper Community Hub in the Western forecourt helps to share important social messages with the community-minded Cowboys fan base, as well as play host to the LGIAsuper Howdy Club.

Men of League Foundation Townsville president Mark Williams said the local committee would be in the Hub to tell fans about their work in the community, and let them know how they can get on board to help those in need.

“The primary objective of the Men of League Foundation is to provide assistance and support to players, coaches, referees, officials and administrators from all levels of the game, as well as members of their families, and the broader rugby league community,” Mr Williams said.

“We currently provide assistance with grants to fund rehabilitation equipment, nursing home equipment, and scholarships.

“Our hope is that we can spread the message about MOL’s work to a broader community, and raise awareness about the charity.

"We just want to let people know that we are there to help.”

LGIAsuper CEO David Todd said he was pleased to be able to support so many different charities throughout the year, and offer Cowboys members and fans exciting new merchandise items through their popular Howdy Club.

“This week’s LGIAsuper Howdy Club item is a Cowboys hand – show everyone you’re 'on board' with the Cowboys with this limited edition item,” Mr Todd said.

“Simply scan your Howdy Club card at the LGIAsuper stand in Community Hub to receive yours!”
