Australian pharmacy retailer Chemist Warehouse Group, and their exclusive sports supplement brand INC Sports, have joined the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys as the club’s preferred nutrition supplier.
The new multi-year deal will see Chemist Warehouse and INC provide a range of nutritional supplements to be used by the NRL and NYC squads, in conjunction with the Cowboys high performance unit.
Chemist Warehouse continues to be at the forefront of internet pharmacy in Australia with all products tested for WADA-banned substances by the global quality control certification programme, giving players and coaching staff peace of mind.
With the importance placed on preparation, the new partnership will give coaching and training staff the utmost confidence in their nutritional support, enabling a proactive focus on training and on-field performance.
The Cowboys high performance unit’s Mark Henry said that optimal nutrition was crucial to the players achieving their peak fitness and performance levels, and that the new partnership will support this.
“Chemist Warehouse and INC understand the link between training and nutrition, and their range of products allows us to cater to individual needs,” Mr Henry said.
“Not only will our association support the players, but it also shows the collaboration our club and players enjoy throughout the corporate community.”
The partnership also includes a community focus, with Chemist Warehouse joining the Cowboys Community Foundation as a ‘Founding Friend of the House’, providing healthcare items to 25 students currently residing at NRL Cowboys House.
Chemist Warehouse chief operating officer Mario Tascone said the group was excited to announce the partnership with the Cowboys as their official Sports Nutrition and Pharmacy Retailer Partner for the entire season.
“Chemist Warehouse continues to be at the forefront of innovation in the Premium Sports Nutrition space with safety being our number one priority,” Mr Tascone said.
“We look forward to supporting the team through what we hope will be a very successful season.”
