Cushman & Wakefield's Charlie Reilly and Dan Carpenter

NRL Cowboys House has gained a new friend, welcoming leading global real estate services company Cushman & Wakefield to the ‘Founding Friends of the House’ program.

The philanthropic program provides an opportunity for the community to engage with and support NRL Cowboys House, a boarding and educational facility enabling Indigenous students from remote North Queensland communities to attend secondary school in Townsville.

Joining a growing number of NRL Cowboys House supporters, the Cushman & Wakefield donation goes to directly support the students in achieving their goals in their educational and extra-curricular pursuits.

Cowboys Community Foundation director Fiona Pelling said the ‘Founding Friends of the House’ program is an accessible pathway for businesses to directly support the students.

“We’re thrilled to have Cushman & Wakefield on board, particularly with their multi-national presence and strong community focus,” Ms Pelling said.

“It’s great to have businesses showing their commitment to our students’ success by investing in them and we welcome Cushman & Wakefield to our NRL Cowboys House family.”

With an international footprint, Cushman & Wakefield deliver integrated solutions to landlords, tenants and investors at each stage of the real estate and commercial property process, and have ten offices in Australia.

Cushman & Wakefield Managing Director Global Occupier Services Charlie Reilly said the donation is part of the company’s commitment to utilising their strengths to influence positive change.

“We are delighted to be a Friend of NRL Cowboys House and help to positively impact the lives of young Indigenous Australians. We see the educational opportunities being provided to young North Queenslanders from remote communities as being an exceptional way to create positive change in the community,” Mr Reilly said.

“We look forward to a continued partnership with NRL Cowboys House and seeing the stories of these young men unfold.”

Managed by the Cowboys Community Foundation, the charity arm of the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys, NRL Cowboys House is a joint initiative between the National Rugby League, North Queensland Toyota Cowboys, the Queensland Government and the Australian Government.

The benefits of becoming a ‘Founding Friend of the House’ include recognition, invitations to attend NRL Cowboys House events and 2017 Cowboys membership.
