Veteran winger Antonio Winterstein has been ruled out of this Friday’s National Rugby League preliminary final against the Cronulla Sharks at Allianz Stadium.

The in-form outside back is still recovering from a rib injury and will miss a second game after being a late withdrawal in the team’s elimination final game against the Brisbane Broncos last week.

Winterstein’s usual left edge partner, centre Kane Linnett, has been named in Paul Green’s 17.

Javid Bowen – who filled in for Linnett in the centres against the Broncos – will shift on to the wing.

Friday’s preliminary final at Allianz Stadium kicks off at 7.55pm with the winner advancing to the 2016 NRL Grand Final.
