2016 is the most successful NRL club membership season to date, with all 16 NRL clubs now having secured more than 10,000 members and nine registering record membership numbers.

The North Queensland Toyota Cowboys currently have a club record 18,463 members, up from 14,330 in 2015, the year the club won its maiden NRL Telstra Premiership.

At the commencement of round 14, NRL clubs had registered a combined total of close to 290,000 members, a 13% increase at the same time in 2015.

NRL chief commercial officer Michael Brown congratulated all clubs on driving new memberships, which translate into bigger crowds, higher ratings and additional club revenue for the clubs.

“At the halfway mark of the regular season, our crowds are up, we have witnessed a fantastic first State of Origin match and for the first time in history, every club has registered 10,000 members,” Mr Brown said.

“Our marketing and membership teams have been working very hard behind the scenes with all clubs to ensure we are providing the best entertainment at affordable prices for every round and it is pleasing to see that our members are turning out in force.”
