A shake-up in the forward pack is the feature of the Round 8 under-20s North Queensland Toyota Cowboys team to host the Eels at 1300SMILES Stadium on Saturday.

After watching his team slump to eighth place on the National Youth Competition ladder on the back of a second straight loss, coach Aaron Payne has made several changes to his lineup.

Inspirational hooker Brandon Smith returns after he was a late exclusion in last Friday’s 34-18 loss to the Rabbitohs, with Calum Gahan moving to the bench.

Hiale Roycroft has been promoted to the starting side at the expense of goal-kicking back-rower Cody Grills.

Kaleb Fuimaono comes on to the bench with Jack Lote dropping out.

Trey Kemp was named as 18th man but will wear the No. 19 jersey if called upon to play.
