TWELVE of the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys’ 18-man Telstra Premiership-winning squad visited excited members and supporters in Mackay yesterday.
A massive 10,000-strong crowd turned out to the town - exceeding everyone's expectations.
“It was a fantastic day,” Cowboys CEO Greg Tonner said.
The overjoyed crowd sang along to Aussie country music artist Graeme Connors as he performed the popular Cowboys are My Team anthem in only his second-ever live performace of the song.
“Thank you to everyone in Mackay who came to cheer us on,” Tonner said.
