TOWNSVILLE BLACKHAWKS 26 (Zac Santo 4, Tom Humble, Mosese Pangai tries; Robert Lui goal) def PNG HUNTERS 12 (Adex Wera, Adam Korave tries; Noel Zeming 2 goals) at Jack Manski Oval.

The Townsville Blackhawks have advance to the Intrust Super Cup final in their inaugural year in the competition with a dominant 26-12 win over the PNG Hunters at Jack Manski Oval. Led by a four-try burst from classy Cowboys-contracted winger Zac Santo, the Blackhawks were never headed in the six-tries-to-one victory despite only converted one of their tries. The win gave the Blackhawks direct passage into the grand final on September 27, where they will face the winner of next weekend’s preliminary final between the Hunters and the Ipswich Jets, who were impressive in dismantling Easts Tigers 44-18 yesterday. Aside from Santo, Cowboys players involved in Saturday’s match included halfback Robert Lui and forwards Kelepi Tanginoa and Glenn Hall.

Other results:
