North Queensland Toyota Cowboys NYC coach Todd Payten has named his side to take on Manly in Saturday’s round 19 clash at Brookvale Oval.
Payten welcomes Queensland under-20 players Coen Hess, Conor Carey and Gideon Gela-Mosby back into the side after the trio played in the State of Origin curtain-raiser against the young Blues last Wednesday.
Hess’s return in particular will be a boost for the young Cowboys, given that the powerful back-rower has been playing for the Mackay Cutters in the Intrust Super Cup in recent weeks.
Prop Braden Uele also gets a chance for the Cutters this weekend, while fullback Yamba Bowie returns to the squad after several weeks out with a hamstring injury.
This week's NYC game will be played on Saturday at Brookvale Oval, ahead of the NRL game on Monday night.
