The North Queensland Toyota Cowboys hosted around 150 members at the club's annual Brisbane members function last Saturday at the Sofitel Brisbane, with the mood positive despite the loss the previous night.

Speakers at the event included co-captains Johnathan Thurston and Matt Scott, as well as coach Paul Green, who all thanked the members for their unwavering support.

We'd also like to give a shout out to our members who posted their fantastic messages of support from the event on social media, as well as this email of encouragement from Shannon Russell, on behalf of her son Liam, member #33165.

We just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to the Cowboys team for taking the time to meet the fans in Brisbane.

My eldest son, Liam is a Cowboys member and it was a fantastic opportunity for him to meet the players that he usually only sees on the tv. He now has a much treasured keepsake of the players’ signatures on his 2015 team poster and some great photos with his favourite players to remember the morning too.

It must have been difficult for the players to present themselves to their fans after such a disappointing loss the night before, but I can tell you the loss of the game was long forgotten by both my sons after this morning’s meet and greet.
