Justin O’Neill (knee): After having a minor “clean out” in December, the former Storm back has started running and will join skills training with his new teammates later this week. He will progress to full training next week.

James Tamou (neck): The front-rower has increased his running and weights load and will add some skills work to his training this week. There is some chance the Test and Origin front-rower will be okay for round one, according to coach Paul Green. “He’s on track and we’re aiming for round one,” Green told the Townsville Bulletin. “That was the best case scenario and the surgery went well and everything is progressing as we hoped.”

Matt Scott (shoulder): The co-captain is completing all of the team’s training load, apart from contact work which he will start at the end of the month.

Scott Bolton (shoulder): The forward is on a very similar program to Matt Scott after having shoulder surgery at the end of last season.
