Toyota Cowboys duo Johnathan Thurston and Gavin Cooper will hit Auckland on Friday for a promotional blitz ahead of the second NRL Auckland Nines tournament which is now just over two months away.

Coops was the Cowboys’ captain in their memorable victory at Eden Park earlier this year, while JT could be in North Queensland’s line-up for their title defence after shoulder issues forced him out of the Four Nations tournament.

It will be hard to miss the two Cowboys on the airwaves on Friday morning.

They'll take part in interviews with TV3’s Firstline program, Radio Sport, The Rock, Flava’s Full Phat Breakfast, Mai FM, The Edge and Live Sport before an informal media conference at Sky City.

The Cowboys have been included in the Waiheke Pool alongside the Melbourne Storm, Penrith Panthers and South Sydney Rabbitohs for the two-day tournament to be staged at Eden Park on Saturday 31 January and Sunday 1 February.
