Toyota Cowboys back-rower Tariq Sims will miss the rest of the NRL finals series after today lodging an early guilty plea on a grade three shoulder charge offence.

Sims will be suspended for five matches after incurring 525 penalty points.

The suspension means the Fijian World Cup representative has played his last game in North Queensland colours.

Sims was placed on report following a second-half incident with Brisbane fullback Justin Hodges in North Queensland’s 32-20 victory in Saturday night’s elimination final.

The Cowboys will announce a replacement in their squad of 17 later this afternoon.
