The Toyota Cowboys’ preparations for the start of a fourth straight finals series will ramp up on Wednesday with their first full on-field training session of the week.

After finishing the home and away season with a convincing win against Manly, the Cowboys had Sunday afternoon and Monday off to freshen up for their third tussle of the year with the Brisbane Broncos in the elimination final on Saturday night.

The interchange players, and those not currently in the 17-man squad, had a light training run this morning and will be joined by the rest of their teammates in the Tuesday afternoon session at 1300SMILES Stadium.

Coach Paul Green again named on unchanged lineup today for the elimination final.

“It’s nice to be able to name the same team,” Green told the media.

“We’ve been playing fairly consistently the last couple of months so it’s about going up a notch now for the finals.

“I think it’s going to be a huge night up here.

"Traditionally it’s always our biggest crowd and for this to be a finals series game just adds a little bit extra to it.

“I’m sure the locals will get out in force.

“We’re expecting pretty close to a full house so it should be a great night.”

As of 5pm today, just over 16,000 tickets had been sold for the final – the highest sales figure of any of the four matches this weekend.
